This tour combines our famous Waterfront Tour with an added bonus of trail riding in Pacific Spirit Park. With over 50km of forested and shoreline trails, Pacific Spirit Park is a gorgeous place to spend part of the day! A Day in Victoria

Victoria, the capital city of our province, is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island about 100km south of Vancouver. Victoria has been named the most romantic city in Canada and one of the friendliest cities in the world. We will embark, by bicycle, on the Tsawwassen ferry for the 1 hour and 40 minutes crossing into Swartz Bay. The ferry ride is a memorable experience, navigating through the Georgia Straight and the Gulf Islands. Upon our arrival, we will begin cycling along the Lochside trail. The ride is 30km each way, traveling past beaches, farmlands, wetlands, and down country lanes right into downtown Victoria. Victoria has many lovely, quaint shops as well as incredible food options. We will explore Victoria allowing for time to grab a bite to eat before we ride back to the ferry.

On our way to Whistler we will make a stop at Shannon Falls to take in British Columbia’s third largest waterfall. Depending on the time of year, we may also stop in Brackendale to see one of the largest Bald Eagle populations in the world. Upon arrival in Whistler, we will ride more than 40km of trails that make up the Whistler Valley. The ride is moderate and has many great photo opportunities. After biking, we will enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Whistler Village before returning to Vancouver.

The Seymour Conservation Reserve is a unique opportunity to ride through old growth forest along the Seymour River. The ride is 30km almost entirely paved trail with no cars. Halfway in, we will stop for a healthy lunch beside the river. We will then ride to a fish hatchery and the Seymore Dam before riding back through this North Vancouver jewel of a destination. The trail is relatively flat making it an easy and wonderful opportunity to take in the magnificent setting of the North Shore Mountains.

HIKE AND MOUNTAIN BIKE IN SQUAMISH

Squamish is known as the recreational capital of Canada, with great hikes and a top-notch mountain biking trails. We will hike to the top of the first peak of the Stawamus Chief mountains, 700 metres above the waters of Howe Sound. It is one of the largest granite monoliths in the world. The trail is rated difficult, but the views at the top are stunning making this challenging hike worthwhile. After our descent, we’ll stop for a delicious lunch, rest our legs and then hit the trails on our bikes. The biking portion will give you a great glimpse of the wondrous nature that makes Squamish so special. At the end of our ride, we will sample one of the great microbreweries in all British Columbia before we shuttle back.
